Litha and the solar storm

Eture hears the sound of an alarm and peeks into Litha's cabin. She sees her walking to the kitchen and putting on the kettle. It's not yet dawn and Eture sees Pancy as confused as she is. The two watch Litha go from one side to the other.

«This is so unusual,» Eture thinks, and then she sees Litha take out a computer and start connecting it...

«Oh no, Litha and electronic technology,» she thinks as she flies towards Pancy, who is still confused.

This is the first time Litha has made video calls since Pancy arrived, and Eture wants to explain what's happening. Humans have dynamics that are not easy for beings with more subtle perceptions to understand.

Meanwhile, Litha already has tea, water, and coffee in different containers and is connecting to the global meeting of Elders from the solarpunk communities.

These meetings excite Litha so much that sometimes she forgets the basic care she needs to be truly present. Eture can see that she woke up very early and and hasn't had breakfast; she doesn't know if she has meditated, but what she does know, because she can see it, is that there is a large amount of energy flowing through Litha and that usually alters the functioning of electronic devices.

Litha is so excited that she forgets that she is a very different human being, and if her body doesn't receive the necessary care, there are many probabilities of disconnection and frustration.

Litha manages to connect to the video conference for a few minutes, but the application closes. She re-enters and, after a few minutes, it closes again...

Eture is just observing the situation along with Pancy. Pancy can clearly see what is happening and approaches to try and help. She wants to communicate to Litha that her energy is so great that it's short-circuiting the machine's energy.

But as soon as she approaches the computer... Litha picks her up and puts her on the floor.

"Not now, Pancy, I'm trying to fix this... I don't know why it's kicking me out of the session," Litha says more to herself than to Pancy.

Eture approaches and says to Pancy:

"Look at the color of her aura.".

It had changed from the usual lilac and pink to a dark blue hue.

"In this shade, Litha isn't truly present; she's caught up in a series of thoughts that disconnect her... the darker it gets, the less capacity she has to be present.".

Eture and Pancy continue observing, and Litha keeps trying more and more desperately, until the computer turns off and Litha lets out a groan of frustration.

Eture knows that Litha needs to move her energy, so she approaches and proposes a strategy:

"Would you like to go to the garden to dig up sweet potatoes to release the frustration?"

Litha stands up without saying a word and walks energetically straight to the garden, and starts pulling out the tubers one by one.

Pancy and Eture observe from the window. Pancy is still confused and Eture explains to her:

"Frustration and anger are emotions that move a lot of energy, and in Litha's case, she's in the darkest shade... If she doesn't let that energy out now and keeps it in, it's very likely she'll get sick. So I helped her find an option. All this energy released so explosively will consume her energy for at least the rest of the day.".

Every time she overexerts herself with electronic things, she enters a vicious cycle where she loses control, uses too much energy, and ends up sad for having wasted her energy and for «not having taken care of herself.» At some point, she will fall exhausted, and that will make space for the sadness she has felt since childhood for wanting to keep pace with a world not made for her.

Eture had just explained that when Litha falls to the floor exhausted after having dug up all the sweet potatoes... And starts to cry...

"Now, let's go," says Eture.

Pancy climbs onto Litha's chest and starts to purr.

"Dear Litha, how you wish technological things weren't so difficult for you, right?"

"Yes," says Litha between sobs.

"How excited you were to see the other elders and know how everyone is doing in their communities, right?"

—Yes.

"And now you're sad that you couldn't connect and see them?"

—Yes.

"I'm very sorry it didn't work, Litha. I recognize the great effort you make to connect and be present, and how frustrating it is for you that your energy short-circuits with technology.".

Litha straightens up from the floor and says:

"I just don't understand it... I took care of the details, I woke up earlier to meditate and manage to ground my energy.".

—You did everything that was in your hands and even so it didn't work; because there is a solar storm, Litha. These are the things that you don't have control over —Eture tells her.

Litha sighs with relief because now she understands. She knows that when there are big astrological changes, she is an energy receiver on earth and electronic machines usually fail if she uses them. With this clarity, Litha recovers her calm.

—Thank you, Eture. Thank you, Pancy, for being here with me. I think that I'm going to rest for a while.

Litha stands up from the floor when she sees that Sandy is coming walking with something in her hands.

—Hello, dear Sandy. What a pleasure to see you this morning. What brings you here?

—My mom told me that I should bring you this atole and this tamal.

Litha smiles full of gratitude.

—Tell your mom that she is an angel, that I needed this display of affection, support, and companionship in the form of a warm breakfast. Thank you, dear Sandy, for bringing it.

Sandy hands it over and starts walking back to the common room, where she homeschools with other children from the community.

Litha sits on the armchair to eat the tamal and the atole while she watches Sandy walk away.

—Look, Pancy, Litha now has a pink and white aura —says Eture, and repeats to her that it is probable that Litha will only sleep for the rest of the day, and that it is a good idea that in a couple of hours she licks her face so that she wakes up to eat something. She tells Pancy that she will go to the kitchen to ask that someone please bring lunch—. It is the wonderful thing about living in community: each person has a beautiful gift and among all of us we contribute to the well-being of each member.

Litha walks to her room to lie down and rest, and Pancy follows her to cuddle with her and lick her little face in a couple of hours, when it's time to eat.

When frustration appears, what activity do you do to release that energy? Run, sing, dance? Having a community that accompanies you is a beautiful way to experience emotions.
